Vita

Born and raised in Berlin, Germany. The Berlin artist has been practicing working with oil paints since she was a teenager. Fascinated by the diverse faces of this medium, they became constant companions. After training as a technical draftsman, she studied mechanical engineering at the Beuth University in Berlin. Through her previous professional work as an engineer, she was able to get to know a wide variety of cultures in different countries all over the world.

In 2002 she moved into her first studio and has been developing her artistic position ever since. The freelance artist works almost exclusively with oil paints, which she sometimes applies in very many, fine layers. Her series of works “World Fragrance” focuses on urban space at night, which is vividly showcased here with the so-called bokeh effect.

Angela Wichmann lives and works in Berlin and Brandenburg.
